Less work than before. Only averaging 60 hours per week instead of 70. Sometimes I am even down as far as 55!! This means I once again have a few spare moments now and then to do something!
Those few spare moments then made me depressed. In Albuquerque I had a weekly group game and Doyle came over all the time. We had a boardgaming corps that was the r0xoR and I worked with people who shared my true hobby loves.
I have little of that here. No gaming group (yet?). Only able to get folks together about once a month for boardgames, thoughwardbear is trying to change that. And for the most part my co-workers do not share my hobbies. (I am not referring to SCA as I am at best a fringie now, especially in the Middle. My true loves a little toy soldiers and meaty boardgames).

I have gotten involved in new games.
Flames of War 15mm WWII (why yes I do play the Red Army. duh!)
Dark Heresy 40K RPG (starting a test run ong 07-FEB)
Fantasy Flight's AWESOME games (I got Android for Christmas and I love it!!!!)

I also just bought a whole new paint set so that I can replace my old and worn GW paints and brushes. This will encourage me to sit down and really paint up regiments.

Cub Scouts for Aleksander got off to a good start in Albuquerque and has been lame here. We got saddled with the WORST den leader ever. I am currently arguing with the Pack Committee to either depose him or start my own den to counteract his uselessness.
Pack is awesome, Den leader enjoys syphillitic goat testicles.

I think things are progressing towards better. Things will shake out, churn will resolve and in the end I will find a place of happiness and balance. This will also make bokrog
 

 much happier as she will not have to deal with a cranky ass Vlad.

To make the game even more intriguing, both teams will be desperate to win the opening match since they are grouped in what can be described as "the Group of Death", together with Nigeria, the reigning champion in Africa, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the dominant force in Asia. A win on the first day will help secure a place in the next stage of the tournament.
